COMMUNITY RESOURCES

QC Counseling Services, PLLC (QCCS) is committed to supporting individuals and families beyond therapy by helping connect them to essential community resources.

The following resources are provided to assist with basic needs such as food, clothing, financial support, transportation, legal assistance, and seasonal or emergency aid.

National Clothing Resources

  • Soles4Souls- Provides donated shoes and clothing through partners nationwide.  
  • Cradles to Crayons- Supplies free children’s clothing, shoes, coats, and other basics in many U.S. regions.  
  • Assistance League- Community chapters offering clothing and supplies through volunteer programs.  

Local thrift stores, community centers, and faith-based groups also often offer seasonal clothing support.


Financial & Basic Needs Assistance

National Support & Help Locators

  • United Way 211- Connects you to local rent, utility, food, and crisis support.
  • Benefits.gov- A federal tool that helps you determine eligibility for government benefit programs like TANF, LIHEAP, and more.

Nonprofit Cash & Emergency Aid

  • Local community action agencies often provide emergency funds for rent, utilities, prescriptions, and other urgent needs.

Transportation Support (Free / Low Cost Cars)

While national free car programs are limited and often income or need-based, there are nonprofit programs that distribute donated vehicles or assist with car access:


Programs That May Provide Vehicles

  • FreeCharityCars.org / 1-800-Charity Car- National nonprofit that donates vehicles to families in need, including victims of domestic violence, low-income households, and more.  
  • Cars 4 Heroes- Provides free basic transportation to veterans, first responders, and their families.

  • Vehicles for Change- Helps low-income families achieve stability through vehicle awards (low-cost or donated).  
  • Good News Garage- Repairs donated vehicles and awards them to those in need (regional but often referenced nationwide model).
